Sermon Series--Coming up in 2012

During Lent this year we will take a look at the "Jesus Mission: Jubilee Vision" offered in Luke 4. This is a vision of healing, freedom, and restoration. What if the church gave itself away to that vision?

After Easter we will discuss what it means to be set free from the Strongholds in our lives. We will deal with Anger, Anxiety, Fear, Depression, Lust, and more. We believe that the power God exerted in the Resurrection is the same power God uses today to set us free!

Pentecost is the season in the church when we celebrate the creative power of the Holy Spirit. As Christians we live by the Spirit of God...but what does that mean? What does it mean to be filled by the Spirit? What does it mean to be moved by the Spirit? During this series we will discuss these issues and more.

One of the most relevant issues in the church/world today is one of the often most neglected by preachers...sex. We live in a world that is over-sexualized and where perversity seems to run rampant. And yet, the Bible has much to say about sexuality. During this series we will explore a biblical view of intimacy, abuse, and the beauty of sexuality within the appropriate boundaries.

There is no avoiding relationships! Sorry, you have to live, work, and share life with people. Since there is no getting around it..."How do we make them work?" Everyday spouses, parents, school-children, and co-workers ask that same question. The Scriptures provide us a way of living well with one another. During this series we will ask the tough questions and explore humility, grace, forgiveness, and empathy.
